Salisbury, M.D. — The Delmarva Shorebirds dropped to 4-12 following a 3-2 loss against the Wilson Warbirds, who improved to 7-9. Tuesday was dominated by the pitchers until the eighth inning when both teams scored a pair of runs.

Before that it was all zeros for the Shorebirds while the Warbirds only plated one run on an RBI fielder’s choice from DH Jadyn Fielder; son of former MLB All-Star Prince Fielder. The score was surrendered by pitcher Kiefer Lord, but it was his lone blemish. Delmarva's starter finished with a line of four innings pitched, one hit allowed, and a career-high 11 strikeouts. Pitcher Denton Biller provided five great innings of relief, giving up five hits and two runs while fanning four.
