TOWSEND, Del. -- The Odessa Ducks hosted the Indian River Indians in a field hockey matchup.

The match was highly defensive as both sides prevented each other from the ball reaching the net. Caroline Williamson and Maggie Bare were at the forefront for Indian River both attempting shots and pushing the ball down the field. Odessa's primary defender was their goalie, Reagan Hensel, who batted out the ball multiple times when it got too close to Odessa territory. However, the Indians were able to push in overtime. Caroline Williamson led the ball into the circle and with a putt by Madelyn Faucett, the ball hit the back of the net, giving Indian River the point and giving them the win, 1-0.
