BERLIN, Md. -- For the first time in school history, the Stephen Decatur Seahawks are headed to the State Championship.
After a loss to Milford Mill a season ago in the MPSSAA State Semifinal, the rematch goes to the Seahawks after a 35-34 victory over the Millers in the 2023 State Semifinals. This semifinal victory had a ton of standout action including Senior Careen Bolden's three touchdowns and incredible leadership on the field from Vanderbilt commit Brycen Coleman at quarterback.
Decatur Head Coach Jake Coleman played on the last team to win a state championship from the Bayside Conference.
The Seahawks will take the field challenging the Huntingtown Hurricanes for the state title on Thursday, November 30, at 7:00 p.m. at the US Naval Academy.
