The Panthers had a rollercoaster 2020 season which ultimately ended in a hard-fought 3-0 defeat to Cape Henlopen in the DIAA State Championship. With a 6-6 regular season mark and losing three of their final four regular season games, the Panthers earned a pair of close wins in the first two rounds of the tournament earning a trip to the championship game.
Torrie Huk, former Sussex Tech standout who ended her career at UMass Lowell ranked first for Division I career goals, is in her third season as head coach.
The team will have to find a replacement for decorated midfielder Mairead McKibbin who will begin her collegiate career at Division III Shenandoah University this fall. She was a two-time First Team Division I All-State and four-time Henlopen All-Conference selection.
The Panthers will have another First Team All-State selection returning in senior Megan Popp.
Polytech begins the season at home on September 8 against St. Georges Tech HS.
