Delmar, DE -- The Delmar Wildcats (8-4) held on to a 6-4 win over the Sussex Academy Seahawks Tuesday night at home.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 1-0 lead on an RBI single from Andrew Callaway. Danny Holsten threw three dominant innings and racked up six strikeouts. Delmar's offense exploded for five runs in the third with RBIs from Kevin Ryan, Callaway, Ryder Kiedel and Reed Linzey to make it 6-0.

Sussex Academy though scored three in the sixth inning thanks to a sac fly from catcher Wes McGlaughlin, an RBI double from Jack Donahue and a run scoring single by Doug Horton. The Seahawks attempted to rally in the final inning as well. After an RBi Single from Wyatt Skinner made it 6-4, the Seahawks loaded the bases with one out.

Callaway came in and struck out back-to-back batters to slam the door shut and hold on to the win for Delmar.

With the win and Lake Forest's loss to Laurel, the Wildcats are the Southern Division champions.
