Constance Norwood Family Fund's Contribution for Salisbury University Football

SALISBURY Md. – The Constance Norwood Family Fund at the Delaware Community Foundation has gifted $25,000 to the Salisbury University football program. The donation comes in honor of Tyler Norwood, who recently completed his final season with the Sea Gulls and earned Second Team All-American recognition from the American Football Coaches Association, the Associated Press, and D3football.com.

The Norwood family made the contribution as a way to give back to the coaching staff for their impact on Tyler’s development on and off the field. “I am completely grateful to SU Football,” Norwood said. “Coach Wood, Coach Fleetwood, and Coach Disbennett have shaped the program into what it is today and built a staff that gives so much to each student-athlete. I wanted to honor them for all that they do. They are the foundation of today’s program at SU.” Norwood’s mother also served as the team mom during his time with the program, and the family expressed deep appreciation for their years around Salisbury University. The university said the gift will help support the coaching staff and further strengthen the football program moving forward.
