The in-state battle resulted in a 59-48 Blue Hens win

In this year's installment of the Route 1 Rivalry, the Delaware State University Hornets fell to the University of Delaware Blue Hens 59-48 Thursday night at Memorial Hall. Myles Carter paced all scorers with 17 points in the losing effort for the Hornets. With the loss, DSU is now 2-5 on the season with their next game on the road at Longwood University.
